Nine candidates are elected to the Boston City Council.

They are David Brickley, David Buckley, (John Donoghue), Francis Ford, (George Gilbody), Henry Hagan, Daniel Lane, James Moriarty, (William Walsh), James Watson. Grace Chipman, an unsuccessful candidate, becomes the first woman to run for Boston City Council.
